I read today that in Congress some Republican Reps. actually took time away from their schedule to make a big deal about changing the name of the French Fries in their cafeteria to, get this, “Freedom Fries”!! When is all of this bullsh*t going to end? I’ve heard stories of restaurants changing their fries’ names to Freedom Fries, and other idiots dumping their French wine. And in case they didn’t know it, restaurant is a French word also, are they going to change that name?
I’m really getting tires of this black and white view of the world. GW-Junior and his “You’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists” crap, give me a fricken’ break! Just because France decided to play the role of the world’s conscience does not give anyone the right to align them with Iraq or the terrorists. Sure they have ulterior motives–They currently have large oil contracts with Iraq, but doesn’t the US have interests in Iraq that could be bettered by taking them over? After all, I read that Cheney and Haliburton(sp?) Oil contracted to rebuild Iraq’s oil fields after Gulf War I, and I’m sure they’re itching to get those new contracts coming up after Gulf War II. This just eats me up! I think I’m going to go out this weekend an buy some French products to show my support for their guts to stand up the the US–who is beginning to act like the world’s bully.
mmmmmmmm french wine and cheese. Now that’s something I can get into!
